They say if you can’t explain it easily, you don’t really understand it (have direct experience).
There is a Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, there is a Tree of Life. However, “And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The Tree of Life was also in the midst of the garden and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil… And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil for when you eat of it you will surely die” ~ Beresheet
We will discuss the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The other “Trees” can only be ‘eaten from’ once we return to a state of spiritual liberation.
First understand, the ‘Trees’ are states of our subtle energy system (the soul/spirit). The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil represents a state whereby Da’at (direct Knowing/the Doorway of spiritual connection) has been cut off and therefore the S’firot or attribute called Tifferet or the Heart Center (the emotional/astral worlds) has fallen from its original place of Da’at (which now becomes empty) and the rest of the central pillar (Yesod and Malchut) now ‘falls’ down to create a lower realm called the “Material World” or the Kingdom whereby Malchut now sits.
The Tree of Life however, represents a returning of Heart (Tifferet) and the entire central column back upward into balance in Da’at (balanced energy pillars) and hence ‘Material World’ of the fallen Malchut below vanishes.
This process happens during correct meditation practices called Ma’aseh Merkavah by which we literally leave this world (the body, rising of Malchut) and open up that doorway called “Da’at” of direct knowing/experience once again. The Merkavah is the vehicle by which we use to enter that state, also called the Higher Holy Shechina or Shakti (female/Mother) force. This is entering the Spiritual realms past the ‘Veil’, again at Da’at – the barrier or Machsom – the place the separates this world from the Upper Worlds. It keeps the spiritually immature from entering the ‘Heavens’.
The barrier or Machson exists between what is known as VAK and GAR. Vak representing the lower state of conscious awareness from 2/3’rds of Binah and below (Chesed, Gevurah, Tifferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod and Malchut). Gar representing the upper state of consciousness from 1/3rd of Binah and beyond (Hochma and Keter – Subconscious and Unconscious levels) This is where the LUNAR and SOLAR (ida and pingala or yin and yang energies) ‘marry’ or unite in sexual bliss creating an ‘opening’ or ‘spiritual child’ together called “DA’AT” which is the rising of the spiritual child back into the Heavens.
The way of activating this Merkavah or opening the portal to spirit is by letting go of the body awareness and moving deeper and deeper into the subtle realms of conscious, subconscious and unconscious mind (INTENTION) while maintaining strength of awareness (WILL).
When one has passed all 5 levels or Partzufim through Merkavah travel (into the deepest spiritual realms represented as different degree of ‘Bardo’ or death in the lower worlds called Atzilut – of correction) one has achieved total liberation from this world. When one dies, the degree of attainment they have achieved determines the incarnation they receive in the next life (or not because of total liberation)
This is the basic meaning of the the Mystical Practice and the Structure of Creation in Kabbalah which you will not find in books or public teachings.
The Structure of Creation is called the Secret of Ma’asah Beresheet and the Mystical Practice is called Ma’aseh Mervakah – both of which are the whispered teachings of Kabbalah that have not been openly discussed beyond the famous Rabbi’s and their master students throughout the ages.
